Lost on a tram or bus.Where to look on public transport.
An item lost on a tram, bus or the metro first goes to the operator running the line – in many cities that is MPK, while in Warsaw MZA, Tramwaje Warszawskie and the Metro each have their own office. The operator later hands unclaimed items over to the lost property office at the city hall.

Step by step
How to get an item back from a tram or bus
- 1Note the line number, direction, approximate time and the stop where you got off.
- 2If you lost it just now, call straight away – in Poznań and on SPA Klonowica buses in Szczecin, on the day of the loss the item is still with the dispatcher or at the point at the terminus.
- 3Over the following days, contact the operator's lost property office – by phone, by e-mail or through its online list.
- 4Arrange collection. MZA and the Warsaw Metro release items on presentation of photo ID and hand unclaimed items over to the city hall.
